This week was pretty great! I wouldn´t say it went by as fast
as the others probably because I got a new companion and just the change
made it seem a little longer but it was still way fun! my three month
mark is coming up on Thursday
and I have decided that I'm gonna eat a habanero pepper haha! I'm gonna
have my comp film it! I'm scared!! Anyways, Elder Arjona is awesome! He
really likes Pokeymon and is probably gonna teach me how to play if we
ever have time haha! I'm developing alot of much needed patience with
him!! I lack alot of that.. and I know that the lord knows that that is
what I need and Having Elder Arjona as my comp is really gonna help me
with that! haha gotta love the kid! Yesterday when we were eatin lunch,
the thought popped into my head, "wow, the Lord really knew what he was
doing when he sent me to Mexico" he knew how much I would love the
food!! haha it is so dang good! There hasn't been a single meal that I
havn´t liked!! I really love tamales!! I remember in the MTC when I first
tried it, I didn´t really like it but now I crave them all day long!
those with some Pico de Gayo. emmm emm emmmm so good! I'm beginning to
like Coke too! Although it makes me feel like crap after drinking it,
its pretty good! we drink it everyday! wow I really just am starting to
love this place! I'm surrounded by alot of good people that make all the
hard times worth it!! I'm developing a really good relationship with the
familia Sanchez! They always have me and my comp over for dinner every Sunday
now!! They're awesome! They're in a bunch of my pictures so you´ll
probably know who I'm talkin about! They always make me flour tortillas
because they know how much I love them!!:) I have now had a few
experiences with this but when we read the book of Mormon with our
investigators, there is just such a good feeling! The spirit is so
strong!! I know that its true!! Our investigator Rocio, I think, is
really coming to know that this is true! She has a friend that is a
member that comes and sits in during the lessons now! She seems very
happy when we are teaching her so that's good! We also have a few others
that seem to be pretty good investigators so far! Spanish is coming
along really fast now! Having a companion that doesn't speak English is
really helping me! I still got a long ways to go but I feel that its
comin way fast! I know alot of gospel words so I can talk alot more
during lessons! This week we taught a lady the first lesson and her son
was playing some pokeymon game on the xbox and so right as I saw that, I
chuckled and thought to mysleft, "This should be interesting.." haha so
when I got finished teaching my part, I turned to my companion for him
to take over and he was just glued to the tv hahaha! it was really
funny!!
Well I miss you all very much!! Something that the
mission has done for me is make me alot more grateful person! After
going without something you realize how blessed you are to have those
things! Family for one of those things! Its something I took for granite
and after going with out my family, I've realized just how blessed I am
to have you all apart of my life and I've realized just how much I love
you!! There are many more things!
