Week 11 - Jan 12 "Lord, I ask that a buffalo be put before me"

¡Buenas tardes! ¿Como estan? I cant believe how fast this week went by! its just crazy! I'm already half way done with training! I just can not believe it! time flies when your having the time of your life I guess.. So probably the highlight of this week was on Thursday when we had an activity at the church. We watched Ephraim's rescue and it went awesome, although no investigators showed up and that was the whole point of the activity, alot of members showed up and had a very spiritual experience! I don't know how many times i´ve watched this movie, probably 30 times, but there was just something about this time that the spirit was just so strong! it was the first time that I got teary eyed! My companion said the same thing, that there was a different feeling this time then when we first watched it! a bunch of the members, yesterday, were saying how beautiful of a movie rescate de ephraim was! A funny story that I don't know if I told you about but when the package with Ephraim's rescue first arrived and when we first watched it, in the part where Ephraim says, "lord, I ask that a buffalo be put before me" Elder Montiel prays, "Lord, I ask that a pizza be put before me" then opens his eyes.."dang it" I laughed so hard because this kid seriously loves pizza and his Mexican accent just made it so funny! It reminded me when we would do that at the cabin, "Lord, please put a deer in front of me" The next awesome part of the week came yesterday! Its been pretty tough not having any of our investigators progress and we really thought we were gonna have Jose come to church because he promised us the night before and we even showed him where the church is because he gave us a ride. (mom he really wants to see pictures of me in new york BTW) but yesterday, we stood out there waiting and he never showed up... That's 5 weeks in a row with out any of our investigators in church! And I really have been praying sincerely for success! So later yesterday night, we went down there to see what happened. and he just made up some dumb excuse that it was his girlfriends fault. and then we talked about NFL haha but as we were talking to him, we got a phone call saying that one of our investigators was waiting for us at the Church! WHAT???? WHO??? we sprinted to the church, and Rocio was sitting there in a branch fireside!! we´re like what the crap is going on! she told us that instead of going to her church she wanted to come to ours! Lucky they were having a fireside at that time! We then gave her a tour of the church, with a member who is the same age as her!! It all worked out perfectly!! Rocio is 21 and I think my companion has the hots for her.. don't worry i walked in between them the whole time;) anyways, it was just a awesome feeling! To finally have one of our investigators finally show some progressing!!
its sounding like everything back at home is going great! I love hearing about whats going on! Keep having family scripture study and prayer!! Bronson and Hollie, I hope you got all your homework done for the end of the semester!! Britton.. do your homework! Miriah, keep turning everything in on time! and one more thing, something I learned this week is, don't put your wet gloves in the micro wave because it wont dry them off, it will set them on fire and smoke up the whole kitchen!!
Have a good week everyone! I love and miss you all!!
