So pretty crazy week. Last week I got the call to be transferred to Reynosa, but it was just a set up. I arrived with all my stuff to the offices and my new companions were there ready to take me over to the house, but the president said, "Elder Berry before you leave I want to talk with you in my office" So I walked in his office and it was like a 20 sec interview. telling me that he needed more out of me and that I needed to have 30 more baptisms before I leave. Then I stepped out and he told me to wait just a moment later while he interview a couple other missionaries. When he finished, he asked me and two other missionaries to step in his office. We sat down and he just started going off about how we have been disobedient and how he was thinking about sending us home. haha I was thinking in my mind, "uh yeah something is up here because I haven't done anything that I would have to go home." the assistants were behind us holding a paper and the president said that the assistants had a report of what we had done wrong and that they were going to show us. So they came in front, opened the papers and I saw the one that said, "Elder Berry new assistant" haha they filmed the whole thing and the look on my face was hilarious! but yeah. I never thought that this would happen but here I am. It defiantly has put me outside of my comfort zone. The work is a lot different. Instead of just leaving the house and knocking doors all day, I"m working with my head and doing a lot of capacitating. Yesterday we capacitated the bishoprics, mission leaders and stake president of one of the stakes here in the mission. It was the one in Rio Bravo, where I started my mission!! I got to see a lot of the members that I haven't seen for over a year and a half! that was very special!! also we've capacitated all the district leaders and zone leaders so it has got me out of my comfort zone which is good. oh also something really cool! if any one wants to see me, I'll be in the airport in Hidalgo, Texas on Wednesday! We're gonna drop of the Americans that are going home.
anyways, this was my week! I hope all is well back home!!
Elder Berry
