Dear Familia,
I just want to share a quick story. Yesterday we got to travel down to San Fernando. Its the most southern city in the mission. Its actually like the only city that is not on the border. American missionaries haven't been able to serve there for along time because there was a time that it was super dangerous. So when we got there, all the members were so surprised because it had been a long time since they had seen american missionaries! Anyways, in the second hour, in the class of the principles of the gospel, there were like a couple investigators and new members and us. The teacher started out and then all of a sudden somebody came in and took him out so I volunteered to give the rest of the class and my companions helped me out. After the class we just let them ask questions and we responded and there was one lady that stayed after with her husband to talk with us because she had a couple of doubts. Her husband was baptized on Saturday and she was actually interviewed and ready to get baptized but at the last moment changed her mind. So we were able to talk with her and we helped her recognize the spirit and she decided to get baptized following the church services. It was an awesome baptism because all the members stayed to support! She asked that I baptized her and I wasn't expecting to baptize so I didn't have any cloths but they were able to find a white overall for me. It was super awesome!!
After we went to Matamoros to capacitate the ward mission leaders.
By the time we finished the capacitation, it was like 10:30 pm and the freeway back to Reynosa gets pretty dangerous so we drove back through the US. I couldn't believe how clean and smooth the roads were!! Our country is so beautiful. We stopped at wendys to eat because we hadn't eat all day, and I got to order in English!! that was super awesome! We shared what we do with the kid there that helped us in the drive in! He ended up giving us free chickin nuggets!
I love you all and I'll see you all on Wednesday!!
Elder Berry
