Welp all I gotta say to start off is god is our loving heavenly father and i know that he answers our prays!!! It has been a rough start here in Reynosa Centro considering the fact that this area hasn't had an investigator in church in over two months! and my first two sacrament meetings here were pretty lonely! I've been been pondering alot lately about what we need to change. I was reading in Jacob 5 and i came across these scriptures:
70 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard sent his servant; and the servant went and did as the Lord had commanded him, and brought other servants; and they were few.
71 And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, this is the last time that I shall nourish my vineyard; for the end is nigh at hand, and the season speedily cometh; and if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come.
72 And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things.
73 And there began to be the natural fruit again in the vineyard; and the natural branches began to grow and thrive exceedingly; and the wild branches began to be plucked off and to be cast away; and they did keep the root and the top thereof equal, according to the strength thereof.
74 And thus they labored, with all diligence, according to the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard, even until the bad had been cast away out of the vineyard, and the Lord had preserved unto himself that the trees had become again the natural fruit; and they became like unto one body; and the fruits were equal; and the Lord of the vineyard had preserved unto himself the natural fruit, which was most precious unto him from the beginning.
In this scripture we find that the servants of the lord work with all diligence and with all their might. Also that they worked in unity with the lord of the vineyard to cast out and pluck away the wild branches and to bring forth the natural fruit. So me and my companion pondered about what we need to do differently to be able to work in unity with the lord. we found that we work in unity with the him when we are in tune with the spirit. We set goals to better our prayers of faith and to fast once a week! Well this week when we put this all to the test, we prayed that we would be guided to a Family, and that we would just have in the least one person in church on sunday. Crazy how this happened but that same day we were led to a family of 9. And yesterday we had 1 investigator come to church. haha I guess we should have asked that the family we would find would go to church too! But this 1 person was truly a miracle to me. You would not believe the joy that i felt yesterday in church. In the morning yesterday we had passed by for all of the investigators that we had taught during the week. All were either sleeping or they made up some other excuse to why they couldn't go. We were planning on riding to the stake center (it was stake conference yesterday) with some investigators but because they didn't wake up, we had to catch a bus. The bus ride was awful, i felt terrible. My third week here and we still have nobody that wants to act. we get to the church late because the driver of the bus was taking his good old time. we get in there and we sit down and i just feel wasted. Thinking how this could happen. we fasted, we changed the way we talk with the lord, we were obedient, we worked with all our might, we prayed even more. but how could we once more come to the church empty handed? well there was ALOT of people in the meeting and i never really took a look around to see if by some chance someone had come but about half way through, I decided to look around and just down the row from where we were, i found a lady that we had contacted the day before in the street, we walked her to her house, and taught her a lesson about the divinity of god. This was a jaw dropper! I never would have thought that this little lady would have got herself all the way to the stake center. I cannot explain the feeling i felt in this moment. I felt the love that god has for me and my companion. I've never really shedded a tear in the mission but this experience got to me! I can say that GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS. I know he loves me and i know he is always listening. This is probably the joy that is talked about in jocob 5 ,"behold ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard." God is great!74 And thus they labored, with all diligence, according to the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard, even until the bad had been cast away out of the vineyard, and the Lord had preserved unto himself that the trees had become again the natural fruit; and they became like unto one body; and the fruits were equal; and the Lord of the vineyard had preserved unto himself the natural fruit, which was most precious unto him from the beginning.
Familia Les amo a TODOS!!!!:)
