A little bit of what we have done this week to find more investigators is were working a lot with the members. My whole mission I've been kinda against working with them because none of them really want to work and every time we ask for references, they got nothing. President Morales has always taught us that if something isn't working out, we gotta do something different. so instead of just planning to knock door to door, which really isn't too effective, we planned to go with members actives. It really has worked out great!! But instead of just showing up and asking, "Hey you got references for us?" We are teaching the Restoration and really helping them to ponder about the blessings that they have received for living the restored gospel. And then we play a little game. While me and Saunders sing a hymn, they write down on a piece of paper the names of as many people they know, and whoever has the most names by the time we finish the hymn, wins! And then we ask heavenly fathers which of the personas is ready to receive the gospel and make plans to go out and contact that person with the member with us! It has really worked out great!! and were also helping the members to strengthen their testimonies. so its like a win-win!
This week we saw somebody's dog get hit by a car so we helped them people bury it.. One of the little girls was really sad to where she was balling. So were gonna go back and teach the plan of salvation here pretty soon.
Adrian Lopez, kid from the ward, got his mission call this week! He is headed to Nampa Idaho on march 2nd. He'll report to the MTC in Provo.
Yesterday we had a great turn out with investigators in church!! We had 9! One of them showed up in his bus! so we just need to convert him so he can use his bus to go around and pick everybody up to bring them to church. The sister Alicia, who got baptized a couple weeks ago, is already doing missionary work. She brought one of her Friends! There was one girl that i was for sure was gonna come but didn't. we later found out that her grandpa is a Jehovah witness and convinced her not to go.. but we'll get her there next week! President said that if we have 10 baptisms in one day, he'll take us to the beach to baptize! So thats what were aiming.
