Wow this was a crazy fast week!! and probably the best
week in the mission so far!! I went on exchanges with Elder Johnson
which was way awesome! He's from AF! and i learned a lot!! the mission is
just awesome because you learn something new everyday!! Hes got about a
year in the mission now! it was just fun talking about all the things
back home and about origination and HT and all those experiences we had! He was actually the student body president at AF! but just a great guy
and a great example!
We went to visit this
recent convert named Hita this week, she is awesome, little crazy, but
she had us over because she training this guy to be a taxi driver and so
shes in the car with him the whole day! and so shes had alot of time to
share what she knows about the gospel! and she even brought him to
church last Sunday and yesterday. she is also very nice and gives us
rides everywhere for free, although she is literally nuts while driving! I
have feared for my life a couple of times but its OK because we are
protected by the lord! but anyways, were driving in the car and we asked
"hey were gonna have a baptism tomorrow if you guys want to come and see it!" and Hita turns to Juan and says, "hey yeah your gonna get baptized tomorrow!!" (as like a command) and he says "I'm getting baptized tomorrow?"
haha I said "No no we just want you to come and see how it is!" so the
next day we went to teach him and he accepted to be baptized this next Saturday!!
On Saturday,
we had our baptism with Hari! turned out great!! He got up after at the
end of the service and bore a powerful testimony! the next day he was confirmed given the holy ghost and later given the priesthood!! now the next
step is to get this kid on a mission!! hes about 20 years old but I see
him going on a mission so that would be awesome! gonna get him to come
to some lessons with us!
This week I read
another book that Elder Johnson is let me barrow called "The Day of Defense" and I really really enjoyed reading it! its alot like that last
book I read, its about two missionaries that went to court with other
religions to establish truth and it is just amazing how true the church
is!! its another one you can buy from deseret book!
and
wow cant believe July is about done!! I'm sure, from what I've heard,
that the time is moving by as fast for you guys as it is for me!! just
blows my mind how fast it goes!! Way excited to be getting a new
sister!! congrats Brady and Crystal!! still cant wrap my mind around
that!! its crazy!! however I would love to know how it was done, where it
was done and when this is gonna happen!! thanks
