This week we have officially entered into the "canicula"
and boy is it hot!! I feel like I'm in an oven and so I had to go buy my
spf 100 sunscreen!! ha ha we arrive to appointments drenched in sweat!
The time sure continues to fly by! I had a pretty great week this week!
and we will be having a baptism this Saturday for Hari! so hopefully I get my camera figured out so I can send the pictures!
This
week we found a family contacting and they are really good! during the
lesson we saw that they each had tears in their eyes! she would later
tell us that she has been praying for something like this because the
Iglesia Christiana just hasn't seemed to her like the one of Jesus Christ
as explained in the bible! But I can say that the spirit is real!
because we were going to go contact a different colonial when we felt we
should go contact this other street and the first house we knocked on
was them!! so anyways, we felt really good leaving this lesson! we gave
them (3) a baptismal date and they all accepted!! but when we came back
the next time (two days later) we had found that the dad had read just a
little, the mom didn't have time.. but the son read the first 10
chapters!! and again that was another on of those jaw-dropping-moments!
and we would later find out that it wasn´'t even the same son we had
talked to two days earlier! they looked the exact same so we just
assumed it was the same person! so later we gave him a baptismal date as
well as so there are 4 total in this family!! but it is just amazing
how true the book of Mormon is! and I'll get to that a little bit more in
just a sec, but this kid was like "yeah these are words from god" and I
left that lessons feeling like I never want to leave the mission and
that this is the greatest thing ever!!
OK and a
little bit more of the book of Mormon... Ive known that the book is
true just from reading it and just from the feeling that come from
reading it but this week by testimony of it has strengthened un buen!! I
read a book called the "Trial of the stick of Joseph" and it basically
proves the book of Mormon true factually and scientifically!! so its not
just an opinion of mine that the book is true! Its a FACT!! dad, I feel
like you would like this book its by Jack H West and you can probably
get it off the Internet or I'm sure they have it in deseret book!! it was
an awesome book!!
so yeah this was pretty much
my week! mom I got the package last Monday and I had ate all the beef
jerky and dried mangoes within four days ha ha!! but those are definitely
my favorites (for when Christmas roles around again. or when you feel
like sending more;) but thanks so much for that!! and whelp, I miss you
guys so much and love you
