First of all how excited I am that coach
Evans is gonna be the new Head coach at LP!!!!! WOO that's so awesome!
Also excited for Brody to go back to BYUH to play! SO are they going to
have sports there now or what!? Or is this the last year?
Congratulations Hollie for making the High Honor role! That is so cool!
Thank you for all those pictures that you sent! I love to see all you
guys you all look so great! what a blessing
it is that we are receiving
rain over there! Here this week, the rained was a pain! The streets were
rivers... and yesterday we had to take along route to get to church
because the street was like 4 ft deep of water!! Yesterday, me and Elder
Barrera were debating on how we were gonna cross the river\street so we
could get to an investigators house when a bus passed by and splashed
water and got us soaked.. so we just decided to walk across haha.
This
week was transfers and Elder Barrera is no longer going to be my
companion. He is being transferred to Reynosa and my new companion is
going to be Elder Juarez. but yesterday in church, me and Elder Varrera
had 5 investigators show up!! a family of three that we found last week,
Michelle who we found when I first got here and she has a baptismal
date for this next Saturday!
and another really old investigator. But the miracle was Michelle! she
has been coming the passed couple weeks to church with one of her
friends, who is a member, and shes also been living at her house. so
we've been giving her the lessons at her friends house which is pretty
close to the Church! but this last Saturday, we showed up and the member
had told us that she had moved back to her house. and here I'm thinking
you gotta be kidding me! there ain't no way shes gonna come to church now
because every Sunday,
she rides with her friend and she doesn't have a car so how is she gonna
get herself there?! and we really needed her to come so she could be
baptized this next week! so we found out her address, which was way far
and a tiny bit outside our area.. and i said, "were going!" so we found
her house! and it was a long long walk and the whole time i was praying,
"please! we are walking forever away because we have faith that we will
be able to share a message and that she will come to church, so please
bless us according to our faith father!" so yeah we got there and her
sister came out and told us that she was asleep and she didn't want to
wake her up so again I'm thinking, "you gotta be kidding me" so we left
her a card that said we would be waiting for her tomorrow in the church! and she came!!!:)
So
yeah we had 5 investigators show up and should had 8! we called this
other family in the morning and they told us they would be there! but
they did not show. and when we were walking back to the casa after the
Church, we saw them through the window of a restaurant, just down the
street from the Church... gosh dang it.. they almost made it there but
got a little hungry i guess.. this week we'll have to planch on them
with the keeping the sabbath day holy!
so yeah
this is a little bit of what happened this week along with alot of other
miracles! the thing that I learned this week is that when an
appointment falls, that only means that someone else is ready to receive
our message! we found this guy and his wife and baby on the corner
selling hot dogs and burgers and this guy is the definition of CHOSEN!
