hola familia!
This week went by muy
rapido! Time is seriously just flying by! Cant believe I've already been
out for 5 months next week! Really feels like I just opened my mission
call! I'm enjoying my time here in the mission! me encanta Rio bravo, I
don't want to leave! I've developed some great friendships with some
member's and I cant imagine having to leave them! Elder Echeverry and I
are doing work!! Yesterday we had 4 investigators in church and one new
member, Rocio!! she seems to have a glow to her now! Its amazing and it
was an amazing feeling to see her happy!
On Friday
it rained a ton! I was soaked right as I stepped out the door! and we
planned on going to contact in a place that was kind of far.. so we
wanted to take a bus and we waited and waited and it never came... and
while we were waiting we saw a homeless person without pants... ha but
after waiting for the bus for like a half an hour we decided to go wait
for a different bus in a different spot. as we walked away we looked
behind us and saw the bus pass by... haha so we decided to run and chase
it down! I haven't ran since the mtc.. I thought I was going to die but
yeah it was fun..
Every morning as were getting
ready we love to quote the words of Elder Holland from his talk the
first and greatest commandment! that talk is like my pump up music
before a wrestling match or football game!! I leave the door pumped out
of my mind to preach his gospel! I like to replace peters name with my
own name! "what I need Berry is disciples.. and I need them forever!!"
"I need someone to defend my faith and preach my gospel!!" "I need
someone who loves me"!!! Elder Berry, me amas? si señor tu sabes que te
amo!!!! haha I'm getting pumped as I'm typing right now!!! seriously as we
leave the house we are so hyped up to show our love for the savior and
to defend his faith!!! I cant wait till general conference to listen to
some more of that!!
anyways it was a great week! we should be having two more baptisms this Saturday! I love and miss you all and I'm always thinking of you! Have a good week
