I went and picked up my companion Elder Echeverry from the Bus station on Tuesday
and boy is this guy excited about missionary work! first thing he says
to me is "Elder Berry, vamos bautism" haha (were going to baptism) the
first day that we were together, we had 8 lessons!!! and we already have
6 baptismal dates!! this guy is a huge example to me!! I've already
learned so much from him! Hes always got baptising on his mind! haha wow I forgot how fun missionary work can be!! the week with him went by so
much faster! and were constantly talking in the streets and so my espñol
is picking up rapido! I was saying my personal prays last night and
didn't even realize that I was doing it in Spanish! This week was
pouring rain and freezing cold! I hate the cold! cant wait till it
starts to warm up and get hot! although all the missionary's say that I'm
gonna wish it was winter when the summer hits.. ha but due to the rain
and cold I didn't take to much pictures this week.. sorry mama!
Rocio committed to a baptismal date!! yay and its this Saturday!!
she is awesome!! shes been sick the passed two weeks but still comes to
church in the freezing cold! I'm very glad that that spirit is back
during our lessons!
Something that I learned already from
Elder Echeverry if you want success than you gotta put all your faith in
the lord! and always strive to have his spirit! because everything we do
is supposed to be by the spirit and something we teach everyday is
faith with out work is dead and so i cant just hope to have success, its
gonna take a little bit of action and so Elder Echeverry, our first day
says, we are going to fast together this Friday!!!
you would not believe how much of a deference it makes when you put
your faith in the lord, and how much he blesses you! I've learned that I
haven't been praying enough... I always see him praying and that's why hes
been a successful missionary. and in all of his prays hes asking to
help us reach our goal of 5 baptisms this month! haha I couldn't be more
pumped he's my companion! were gonna have alot of success together!!!
so
don't worry about me. I'm doing just fine! but I do pray for all of your
health and safety everyday!! and I miss you all very much!!! but I'm
doing great! I love you all
