Week 5 - December 3, 2014 I really regret not staying in piano lessons!!

HI, well i feel like i just barely emailed home like yesterday! that week flew by so fast! So this monday I need to be on the bus at 2:30 am and then my flight leaves at 6:40am so ill be in Reynosa on monday! Im soo excited!! i am a little nervous because i barley know that much spanish but i know its gonna be a great experience for me and im ready to take on this next challenge and step of my mission. So on last thursday/thanksgiving, we another live broadcast from provo and elder bednar spoke! I love this guy! so he got up and pretty much was like "alright, there are thousands of cell phones being handed out to everyone right now and what i want you to do is text this number any question" so all the questions that were sent came to his ipad at the pulpit. He answered as many as he could, with the amount of time, perfectly!! You'll have to ask grandpa and grandma parrish what he said because i forgot my notes!! he had some pretty cool evidence on how the book of mormon is true! so after that devotional, me and my companion ran to the cafeteria for lunch. we were the first ones there and we noticed that all the tables were nicely set up and organized and thats when we were like "oh ya its thanksgiving!!!" they dont celebrate thanksgiving in mexico but we sure do in the CCM!! I had seconds! and had eating 3 pieces of pie with icecream. then one of the elders said he was gonna eat more pies than me and i was like "NO" so I went back and got two more pieces of pie and two more scoops of icecream and im pretty sure no one in the mtc ate more than that! i was dying after! this reminds me of a time like 3 weeks ago when I had eatin 4 tacos and another elder ate 6. this elder is pretty full and cocky about alot of stuff and so he was like "ill give whoever can eat more tacos then me ill give them a peso!" instantly i sat up and started heading for the food line! i could here all the elder laughing behind me but i was serious because it was more of a pride thing for me. long story short he ended up eating 8 and i beat him by 1 and ate 9!! i couldn't breathe after!! ok so anyways, on sunday for the devotional, we watched on of elder holland. and again i cant remember what he said because i forgot my notes but at the end of it he dedicated some buildings that were just built at the mtc and i remember it being really powerful! maybe grandpa and grandma parrish might know what im talking about because it was just in 2013. also this week i found out that i really regret not staying in piano lessons!! so mom, do everything you can to make britton play the piano!!! and hollie and miriah, dont ever quit playing! I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! I sure did and i sure ate alot! Im thankful for you all so much in my life! im thankful for this opportunity i have to serve, it really is so fun! im thankful for the gospel and that families can be forever! Britton congrats on the championship! i really wish i could have seen that!! your a stud dude. mom says your still growing like a weed!! hollie good luck dancing! bronson and brody happy birthday this week and im sorry about your phone bronson. Dont worry miriah i will have alot of letters for you.
