hola, ¿como estan? Its been a pretty crazy week! boy it
sure flew right by though. So, starting last week when we left the mtc.
We left the mtc about 3:30am
when were supposed to leave at 2. we got to the airport at like 5 and
then had to wait in a huge line to check on our luggage. Finally we made
it through that mess and through security, with only like 20 minutes
till our gate closed! This airport is huge and it took us forever to
even find our gate. we got to our gate and there was a huge line of
people for some reason and we thought we needed to wait in it. Then we
heard, "last call for reynosa" so we ran to the front and said "we are
heading reynosa" and she said "sorry the gate is closed" that was the
worst feeling. I was so tired and i just wanted to get on the plane and
sleep. The next flight wasn´t for another 12 hours. So we went and put
all of our pillows down and went to sleep on the floor.
When we
got to reynosa, President moralez and two APs were there waiting for
us. We got all of our luggege and went out to load up the van. When we
got outside, there was a soldier with a machine gun just walking back
and forth. haha i thought "welp, thats different," We spent the night in
the mission home, where met Elder Rawl. He´s an AP. I get to see all
the other LP guys on wednesday becasue the whole mission is getting
together for a christmas pary! so im excited for that. My trainer is
Elder Rodriquez from guatamala! He has 4 months left on his mission. I
love the guy, he is such a humble person. I really look up to him. There
is a kid in my district, elder Harvey, who was in the same zone as
brody in the mtc. He was showing me some pictures that he had of him
when they were in the mtc. Anyways, im loving the food! I only eat
breakfast and lunch becasue they feed us so much at lunch. Yesterday, at
a members home they fed us something really spicy that was making me
tear up. and the guy said in english, "dont cry" haha you wouldve had to
been there, it was funny. This is a new area to my trainor so we dont
know anything about it and dont know who the members are and we dont
have any investigators. so we tract alot. We´ve found a couple of people
and have set up appointment and the lessons have gone really well.
Other then I about fall asleep because I dont really say much. The
spanish is comeing slowly but surley. The area we are in is called Rio
Bravo. Our house is really dirty because of previous missionaries but me
and my comp cleaned it today. count your blessing every morning when
you take a hot shower because my showers sure are not hot. NO hot water
in this house. its the worst part of the day, taking a shower.
