August 29, 2016 He was somebody who really inspired me to gain a great knowledge of the gospel.

Dear Family,

This week I got to go back to Valle Hermoso and spend the whole entire week working with the missionaries and helping the investigators! The Jehovah witness, who was my investigator, still hasn't been baptized because her mom wont give her permission.. but wow she really surprised me because although she hasn't been baptized, she is practically Mormona! She is super active in the church, goes to all the church activities and has been reading a lot in the book of Mormon! I went with my last companion to visit the mom to see what her deal was and it turned out that she was fine with her daughter being baptized, she just wanted her to be "absolutely sure" about her decision. I thought it was really funny because i only knew this girl for like 3 weeks and she is one of the most intelligent 16 year old girls that ive ever met. I thought, "I'm pretty sure she isn't going to do something if she isn't sure about doing it." But she was 100% sure about her decision and that's why I couldn't believe that the mom wouldn't believe her because she is a super super smart girl and her own mom should know that. haha just a little frustration but shell be baptized soon, I hope ill be able to go back again for when she does!

We did Find a family that had just moved in from a little town and they were super chosen! So we talked with the bishop and had him come with us to meet them and he approved that they be baptized on Saturday!! So just this week we had a total of 4 baptisms in Valle Hermoso.

also I got to see my converts again! They are doing great! still super active in the church. They are almost going to complete one year as members and they are excited to get sealed in the temple!.

Thank you for the love and support.

Dear Family,

This passed week a great friend of mine passed away. He was somebody who really inspired me to gain a great knowledge of the gospel. He was who taught me that knowledge is power and he really had a huge knowledge of the gospel. Every Monday we would eat in his house and spend and extra hour or two talking about profound doctrine. He really had a great love for the work because he was really the only one that was right there with us finding, teaching and baptizing. You probably remember me talking about him in my letters but it is Brother Rincon from Matamoros. The guy was honestly to good to be here. I know he is working hard over there on the other side of the veil.
