Dear Family,
Another awesome week of blessing and
miracles! Good to hear that everything is going great at home! Last
week, there was a morning where all of our plans and appointments fell
and so we were just contacting and contacting and not finding anyone
that would even let us in. We had like a half an hour until lunch so we
decided to leave that área and head for the lunch and when we got there,
there was still like 15 minutes so we decided we would make some last
contacts and the very last person we contacted let us in and we ended up
having a lesson and putting a baptismal date with her and her son! She and her son came to church yesterday! So I know the lord blesses for
last minute efforts. She has problems with smoking and her son with
drinking and they both committed to quiting! We shared 2Nephi 31 and
helped them understand a Little bit better the baptism and how it can
change their life. Its not just getting in the wáter and immer what
is going to change you because we could find anyone on the Street and
baptize them and they would still be the same person as before, but its
the preparation you do before that changes your life. If you can come to
live all the requirements of baptism, you can be changed. And that is why the baptism brings blessing. We cannot follow Jesús Christ unless we
are willing to keep his commandments.
Also, this
week was the Independence day for Mexico so we had a fiesta in the
church and ate tamales after. It was a Little bit different then going
to like the stadium of fire but it was OK.
Also, this week we
found a man that has killed before but really wanted to change and so we
taught him about repentance, the only problema is that he hasn't been to
jail for them, so he has to paid the law so wouldn't be able to be baptized
and so we told him that he would have to turn himself in to repent.
