August 31, 2015 - Lord Where Should I Go To Find Those Who Are Ready For The Gospel.

Dear Family,
This week was awesome! had the baptism for Nidia and Joana!! we also had cinco investigators come to church!! Cant tell you how happy it makes me to see all these pictures on the blog! you guys motivate me to work harder and harder! nothing I'm more grateful for than my family! and wow 10 of my mission is now history! I wanted to cry when I saw that video that Elder Rawl made because that really seemed like yesterday! miss my trainer Elder Rodriguez. I was reading in my journal the other day and I amazed at all the experiences that I've had and all the things that Ive learned! Ive learned that obedience, diligence and attitude are going to determine becoming a sacred missionary. Something that I used in my capacitation today is what I learned my Senior year from my friends grandpa, "a positive attitude changes everything." at times, almost everyday, as missionaries, things aren't going to go the way we want. plans or appointments are going to fall. and your attitude is what is going to determine if you find success! to me, if plans fall, it just means that god has prepared somebody else to hear the gospel! Nephi, when god instructed him to build a ship, didn't say, "oh but god that sounds really hard.. (with a couple more complaints)" no, but instead replied, "Lord, where shall I go that I may find ore to molten, that I may make tools to construct the ship?" if it were Nephi he would've said " Lord where should I go to find those who are ready for the gospel" so yeah this week as a district we are going to focus on the attribute faith.

We have an investigator named Oscar, and the guy is like my best friend. Hes with a member and they have two kids together! they aren't married so that's why he hasn't been baptized yet but this week they decided they are going to get married!! He speaks English and so when we go, we just speak English! he likes to hunt and fish so I told him when he came to Utah, we'd go up to the cabin!

Also we had Martha, the really old lady, come to church! she is so funny! we were explaining baptism to her and she was like, " are you kidding me, your telling me that I gotta go all the way under the water?" haha

I grateful for all the blessing we are seeing everyday. I love you guys and hope you know that you keep me motivated to work my hardest everyday! I pray that you have a safe week.
love you
Elder Berry
