August 3, 2015 - I'm Grateful to have a Prophet

Dear Family,
I'll say it again, I cant believe it is already Monday again!! It's like time doest exist as a missionary its just like, BOOM you have 9 months haha! well I'll being heading to my fourth area tomorrow! la Ciudad de Valle Hermoso (beautiful valley city) the city of three lies because its not a city, its not a valley, and it for sure not beautiful haha, my new companion is gonna be Elder Ricon!

Couldn't be more grateful for all the things that I've learned thus far being on a mission! I've already seen so much on how this is gonna impact my life! The mission was very necessary for me! going from being enclosed in a bubble up there in Utah where the gospel is everywhere around me and taking so many parts of the Gospel for granted and so becoming really rebellious! and if it weren't for the mission, i'd for sure still be on that path! and so an experience to see what it would be like to live without the gospel was very vital for me because my eyes have definitely been opened! I'm so grateful for the restored gospel! we had a lesson with this christian pastor and the way she interpreted parts of the bible blew my mind! I was like, "lady have you ever wondered why there are so many church's but they all believe in the bible? if the bible is complete, why isn´t there unity today, why don't we all belong to the same church?" its because so many people take scriptures from the bible and have the different interpretations! so it is very vital to have somebody that has authority, like a prophet, that can interpret these things the correct way! she went on to say, "prophets are a thing of the passed!!" (reminded me of Ephraim's rescue haha) and we were like "OK lady in your bible it says god wouldn't do anything but reveal his secrets to his servants the prophets and second it says that there will be prophets and apostles until we all come to be unified in the same faith" and we for certain today are not unified as ONE" she still didn't buy it because she was so hard hearted but that's why it says that pocos son los elijidos in d&c 121. but its just awesome to have ALL of the gospel and not just a little piece! people think they are happy but they for sure don't have a fullness of this joy! I'm grateful to have a prophet who holds the keys to lead and direct us and advise us to stay on the path that leads back to eternal life!

I love you all, I'm glad you guys are having so much fun there in park city! Brady & Brody have fun in Hawaii
