The 14th article of faith is for missionaries: We believe
in meeting, we hope in all meetings, we have endured many meeting. If
there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report or praiseworthy, we
seek after these meetings.
I hope everyone has had a great week! I
miss you all very much! I am doing very good except for im pretty sure i
broke my toe playing cage soccer... its still black but its OKAY it
will heal on its own! Cage soccer is soooo fun!!! its on a basketball
court with fenzing aound the court and there is goals underneath the
hoops! I got a pretty nice tan last week cause we played for like 4
hours on PDay! Ok there is only two things i ask you to keep in your
prays 1. I learn the language and 2. that i stay awake during
devotionals!!! I have fallen asleep in two devotions that I heard were
really really good now.. On sunday I blessed the sacrament for the first
time in español!! so that was cool! also on sunday, my district leader,
elder farrabee, asked us to share why we came on a mission. I stood up
first and said, " well my brother asked me this same question twice and
both times i couldnt give him a solid answer. I just have always had the
desire to serve and it has never been a question for me whether i would
go or not! but I have realized why i am here and its because it would
be selfish for me not to be here. For some reason I was born into the
church and grew up in all the blessings and happiness that it brings. It
would be selfish for me NOT to go and share this happiness with those
who are looking for it! I dont want to be held acountable for those I
could´ve saved not going on a mission" then everybody else got up and
said their reasons and then it got to elder farrabee. He pretty much
said the same thing as me but then he shared a story that made my heart
ache. The week he got his mission call was the week his older brother
was killed in a car accident! he wants to make his brother proud by
being here! before he said that, i was thinking about my brothers and
sisters back home and then when he shared that, I just couldn´t hold
back tears because i really dont know what i would do with out any of
them!! I really wish I was more affectionate but I really think we need
to use the words "I love you" ALOT more! I know i never used them and i
wish i would have because you never know when it might be the last words
you say to someone! I love ALL of you soooo much! I really dont know
what i must have done in the pre earth life to be born into such a
awesome family! to be born in the gospel! and be able to have so many
wonderful people who have impacted my life for the better! THAT is why i
am here! I love this!! I cant wait to get to Reynosa and actually start
doing the real thing but there is a joy in preparing for those people!
